Kim Hee-sun gets ‘Wonderful’

Veteran actress Kim Hee-sun will return to television for the first time in 16 months with the KBS drama “Wonderful Days,” also starring Lee Seo-jin.

The program will tell of the story of a successful prosecutor, Kang Dong-seok (Lee), who tries reconnecting with his long-estranged family and friends.

Kim will play Cha Hae-won, an upbeat woman who works at a loan company. Dong-seok’s arrogance puts him at odds with many people, including Hae-won.

Ok Taec-yeon, a member of the K-pop group 2PM, will play Dong-hee, a younger brother of Dong-seok.

Media observers are paying much attention to the drama because it is being written by Lee Kyung-hee, famous for such series as “Sangdoo! Let’s Go to School” (2003), “I’m Sorry I Love You” (2004) and “The Innocent Man” (2012).

“Wonderful Days” is scheduled to air Saturday and Sunday evenings beginning Feb. 22 on KBS2, after the end of the popular series “Wang’s Family.”
