Singer IU and rapper Suga of BTS, two of the biggest names in K-pop, have joined forces for a song that’s going to drop next week, their agencies announced on Monday.

“On May 6, we will release the digital single and the music video,” said EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency.

The song was produced by Suga and is topped off with IU’s vocals. The title, genre and other details of the song have not been revealed yet.

“The two have communicated their thoughts on music as artists of the same generation,” EDAM Entertainment said. “Through the collaboration, IU and Suga present a style of music that’s different from what they’ve shown before.”

The song will be IU’s first release since her fifth EP “Love Poem” came out last November, as well as the first track from the singer since she announced earlier this year that she has signed an exclusive contract with her new agency, which was founded by her longtime manager.

The lead track off of the “Love Poem” EP, “Blueming,” topped local charts for weeks, and her Asia “Love, Poem” tour was totally sold out and gathered 90,000 fans in total.

Suga has been proving his skills as a producer not only with BTS, but also in collaboration with other singers on songs such as Lee So-ra’s “Song Request” (2019) and Heize’s “We Don’t Talk Together” (2019).
