Samsung-Asiana in Concert
Samsung Aviation and Asiana Air Lines announced an agreement to join forces in the engine repair sector.According to both companies on November 5, they will start with engines with Samsung taking charge of 50 of Asiana's plane engines maintenance and repair which will eventually bring Samsung 30 million dollars annually.
Asiana so far has contracted their engines for servicing to foreign companies, but it will save costs with better service from Samsung.
The two companies are also considering to advance into the civil plane engine market together, which is estimated at 6.5 billion dollars.
