Jung, Ahn will host ‘M Countdown’

Singer Jung Jun-young and actor Ahn Jae-hyun will be the co-hosts of “M Countdown,” a live music program on cable channel Mnet.

“Since Jung has been a DJ for a radio program and is also a musician himself, we thought that he would do well introducing the music,” an official from the program said yesterday, adding that Jung’s ability to speak a foreign language matches the program’s global aspects.

The reason for picking Ahn was his “stable voice and the experience he has in hosting a fashion program before.” The producers expect a synergic effect from the two stars.

Jung is a former contestant of the audition program “Superstar K,” and Ahn is appearing in a supporting role in the popular SBS drama “My Love From the Star.”

Jung and Ahn will appear as the hosts of the show from this Thursday.
