Yoo, Kang sign on drama

테스트

Actor Yoo Yeon-seok and actress Kang So-ra will star in a new MBC drama “Maendorong Ttottot,” which means cozy and warm in the Jeju Island dialect.

The upcoming drama will be released at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

The new drama draws upon the romance of two characters that have contrasting lives. The female lead, Kang, will play a character who is from a poor family, and is therefore forced to work hard while the male character, Yoo, appears as a lazy liar who grew up in a wealthy family.

In the drama, Kang works tirelessly for five years to improve her life only to fail, which makes her leave for Jeju Island to start over and rebuild a new life. There she meets Yoo who, unlike Kang, was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Working as the head of the restaurant “Maendorong Ttottot,” he does not have to try too hard to succeed because his family has already paved the way for his success.

The story is directed by Park Hong-kyun, who worked on diverse hit dramas such as “Queen Seon Deok” (2009) and is written by the Hong sisters, Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, who wrote many popular romantic comedies together, including “The Greatest Love” (2011) and “Master’s Sun” (2013).

The 25-year-old actress, who debuted in the thriller “4th Period Mystery” (2009), recently starred in the popular drama series “Misaeng” (2014).

The 31-year-old actor debuted in the 2003 film “Oldboy” (2003), but he started garnering more spotlight after appearing in the popular drama series “Reply 1994” (2013).
