Exo prepares highly anticipated comeback
The popular K-pop boy group Exo were slated to release their third regular album, “EX’ACT,” today at midnight.
The album, their first since “Exodus” was released last March, was preordered by more than 660,000 fans. The album consists of nine tracks, including two title songs, “Monster” and “Lucky One.”
The members attended a press conference and explained their latest album on Wednesday at SMTOWN at COEX Artium in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul.
“The performance of our [title track] ‘Monster’ is just like a monster,” Suho said. “The sound is grand, and although the mood of the song is a little dark, the fresh vocals will stand out.”
“Unlike ‘Monster,’ ‘Lucky One’ is a fun, R&B funk song that people can easily listen to wherever they are, such as in their car or at home,” D.O. said.
“Lucky One” revolves around a man who is very excited about finding the love of his life, while “Monster” expresses one’s instinctual desire and obsession toward one’s lover.
Exo will stage performances based on their new album through appearances in numerous music programs, including KBS2’s “Music Bank” and SBS’s “Ingigayo.”
