[Sponsored Report] Airbloc Protocol Partnership With ICON Foundation and DEBLOCK

Today Airbloc Protocol announced that it has signed a strategic partnership & investment agreement with ICON Foundation and Deblock. Airbloc Protocol is a decentralized advertisement data marketplace where users would be able to track and monetize their data and advertisers can buy data for efficient targeted advertising.

CEO of Airbloc Protocol Roi Nam stated that “(with this partnership & investment) Airbloc Protocol will use ICON’s smart contract technology ‘Score’ to build a decentralized application that is optimized for data processing and validation before it is registered on the main chain.” Also Mr Nam added that “by using ICON’s proprietary interplanetary chain technology, Airbloc Protocol will form a programmatic relationship and interconnect dAPPs developed on top of Airbloc Protocol, ICON, and Ethereum.”

Hongkyu Lee, the Technical Director of ICON Foundation described Airbloc Protocol as “one of best actionable teams in Korea”, while adding that he expects that “ICON’s ecosystem will certainly become stronger with the joining of a team with proven technical background”.

Hyun Oh, a partner of Deblock stated that “Airbloc Protocol’s project maximizes comparative advantages of both platforms which is definitely the first of its kind in Korea”. He promised to “help Airbloc succeed in the global market with all means”.

ICON is Korea’s most successful blockchain project pioneered by The Loop, a company which developed multiple fundamental blockchain technologies. ICON is one of the largest inter-blockchain networks in the world in addition to it being a top 20 cryptocurrency. ICON’s decentralized network allows independent blockchains with different governance to transact with one another without intermediaries.

Also Deblock is a blockchain accelerator in Korea which is led by ICON Foundation and Ad4th Insight, a digital marketing company led by Joon Hong. Deblock’s mission is to discover and nurture entrepreneurs with great talent. Deblock supports various projects to develop new breeds of decentralized applications running on ICON. Deblock’s entrepreneurs will get full support from ICON Foundation to co-build global-scale projects.

Through this partnership, ICON and Deblock will take part in Airbloc Protocol’s token sales and some members will participate in Airbloc Protocol’s project as advisors.

ICON Foundation will bring Airbloc Protocol as one of their official partners to Consensus 2018 that is held in New York City. Consensus 2018 will feature 250+ speakers and 4,000+ attendees from the leading industry startups, investors, financial institutions, enterprise tech leaders, and academic and policy groups who are building the foundations of the blockchain and digital currency economy.
