Paragliding is being contested at the Asian Games for the first time this year. Gliders are awarded points based on their proximity to the designated landing spot, and the lower score means the athlete was closer to the target.

In the individual event, gliders flew 10 times and their nine best scores were added for the final points.
In the men’s individual accuracy event, Lee Chul-soo won bronze for Korea with 128 points. Jafro Megawanto of Indonesia ran away with gold at 27 points.
Earlier, Korea won silver in the men’s team accuracy and bronze in the women’s team accuracy. Lee Da-gyeom and Lee Chul-soo were both members of those teams.
