Cast of ‘Start’ announced by NEWActors Ma Dong-seok, Yum Jung-ah, Jung Hae-in and Park Jung-min have been cast in the film “Start,” an adaptation of a Daum web comic series that goes by the same title.
According to the film’s distributor, NEW, on Tuesday, “Start” depicts the story of two rebellious characters - Taek-il and Sang-pil - who both mature after facing “the real world.”
Park, who became popular through his recent role in the film “Svaha: The Sixth Finger,” will play Taek-il, who, after running away from home, starts working in a Chinese restaurant. His close friend, Sang-pil, will be played by Jung, known for his role in JTBC’s “Something in the Rain.” Sang-pil becomes involved in a lot of mischievous troubles with Taek-il.
Ma, who has starred in many well-known films, such as the “Along with the Gods” series and “The Outlaws,” will play the head chef at the Chinese restaurant, while Yum, who recently appeared in JTBC’s hit series “SKY Castle,” will play the strong-minded mother of Taek-il.
“Start” will be directed by Choi Jeong-yeol, who was behind the 2015 film “One Way Trip.”
