Cultural Center gets new home
The Korean Cultural Center in Sao Paulo, Brazil (KCC) moved to Paulista Avenue, the heart of cultural activities within the city, and held an opening ceremony Sunday. The ceremony featured performances from Korean traditional dance troupe Anseong Namsadang, which is on the list of Unesco Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and K-pop singer Gong Min-ji, known as Minzy, a former member of the popular girl group 2NE1.
Sao Paulo is the biggest city in Brazil, and Paulista Avenue is one of the most important streets in the city.
Although the KCC was initially established in Sao Paulo in October 2013, the center was situated in a remote area.
