Seventeen to release third album

Boy band Seventeen will be releasing their third full-length album on Sept. 16, their agency Pledis Entertainment said on Wednesday.

“Seventeen will be releasing ‘An ode’ on Sept. 16. It is first full-length album to come in a year and 10 months,” the agency said.

The 13-member band made their debut in 2015 with their first EP “17 Carat.”

The name Seventeen is meant to remind fans of their youth and energy and not the number of members in the group.

“The new album will show a new side of the members, different from their usual teen-pop mood,” the agency said.

Seventeen recently finished three concerts at the KSPO Dome in southern Seoul held from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, and will soon head out on a world tour.
