Ahn Jae-hyun to sue Koo Hye-sunThe divorce battle taking place between actors Koo Hye-sun and Ahn Jae-hyun will be taken to court, according to Ahn’s attorney Bang Jung-hyun on Thursday evening.
On the behalf of Ahn, Bang apologized to the public for creating a scandal based on personal issues.
“[Ahn decided] that there was a limit to proving the truth on social media,” Bang said as he explained the reasons for why Ahn has no choice but to sue Koo for a divorce. “[To clear up the dispute] we decided that it was only right to receive judgement from the court through legal evidence. But Ahn was determined not to bring criminal charges against Koo.”
The attorney added that the truths were distorted due to Koo’s one-sided arguments that she’s been posting on Instagram.
“A lot of what Koo has been writing on Instagram was found to be exaggerated or proven to be false based on the sources I received from Ahn,” Bang stated. “Through her accusations, Ahn’s reputation has been seriously damaged, and it has been affecting others that have no relation to the couple’s spat. I’m planning to clarify the rumors surrounding Ahn through this lawsuit.”
Bang plans to eventually answer Koo’s accusations and public rumors such as Ahn’s relations with former singer Jung Joon-young or rumors related to his affair.
Bang is the same attorney who sent contents of Jung’s chats with other K-pop stars to the Anti-corruption & Civil Rights Commission in March.
