Fans pair Park, Sorenstam for Seolhaeone Legends MatchKorean LPGA star Park Sung-hyun will play alongside Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam at an exhibition match play event this month on home soil.
The organizers of the Sept. 21-22 Seolhaeone Legends Match on Wednesday announced the pairings for the foursome competition. The event will take place at Seolhaeone Resort in Yangyang, Gangwon.
For the foursome on the first day, one player from the Next Generation side will be paired with another from the LPGA Legends team.
Park, world No. 2 and the 2017 LPGA Player of the Year, will team up with Sorenstam, who boasts 10 major titles among her 72 career victories and won the Player of the Year award eight times.
Following a fan voting that ran from Sept. 3 to Monday, the pairing of Park and Sorenstam earned 46 percent.
