BTS’s Jungkook is not dating, agency says
Big Hit’s announcement came after photographs of Jungkook were circulated online on Tuesday morning. The photos showed him drinking with friends and later hugging a woman from behind.
The picture of Jungkook and his friends in the restaurant were taken on a phone camera, while the picture of him hugging the woman has been lifted from the restaurant’s surveillance footage.
The initial post with the photos online read, “BTS member Jungkook taken at Geoje Island (South Gyeongsang).”
While at first fans denied that it was Jungkook and said it looked like rapper Hash Swan -- who currently has the same hairstyle as the singer -- Hash Swan uploaded a post on Instagram denying that it was him.
According to fans, the woman is a tattooist that Jungkook was allegedly spotted hanging around with on other occasions as well, and possibly someone he is dating.
Big Hit Entertainment, however, explained that “The rumor surrounding our artist Jungkook is not true.
“Jungkook visited Geoje Island while he was on vacation, and visited his tattooist friends during his visit. They had dinner and went to karaoke together.”
The agency expressed concern that their star’s privacy had been infringed, and said they will take legal action against anyone who has been confirmed to have illegally leaked the CCTV footage and anyone spreading false rumors.
