Lee Hong-gi begins military service

테스트

Lee Hong-gi of boy band FT Island began his mandatory military service on Monday. He enlisted in the 21st Infantry Division in Yanggu County, Gangwon.

“I’m really thankful, and I’ll come back healthy,” Lee told fans during a meetup before entering a training center for new recruits Monday. “I’ll take care of my voice like I promised. We’ll meet again soon as we continue on with our lives.”

Some 500 fans gathered near the center to bid farewell to the star. The 21st Infantry Division is based close to the inter-Korean border in the north of the country.

Lee, the oldest member of FT Island, is the first from the four-act boy band to begin his service. He is expected to finish his service in the spring of 2021.
