The first round of the Hyundai Insurance K.J. Choi Invitational, which was scheduled to start at 7 a.m. Thursday morning, was delayed by about 4 hours and 30 minutes at Jeongsan Country Club in Gimhae, South Gyeongsang.
Due to heavy rain and strong winds, the tournament committee had to spend hours on course maintenance. The first tee time was postponed to 11:30 a.m., with the last group teeing off at 5:20 p.m.
About half of the players in the field were forced to finish their first round in the early morning today, before starting their second round.
