Sales for Galaxy Fold 5G begin in Korea today

Samsung Electronics said Sunday that it will start sales of the Galaxy Fold 5G in Korea starting Monday in online stores, mobile carriers and Samsung Digital Plazas.

The 5G-supported model of the Galaxy Fold, which has been available in limited volumes through advance orders at some online and offline venues, will be priced at 2.398 million won ($2,304.11) and comes in two colors: cosmos black and space silver.

The smartphone can be opened like a book to show a main organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen, which Samsung Electronics has dubbed the “Infinity Flex Display,” that measures 7.3 inches diagonally. When folded, the cover OLED display measures 4.6 inches diagonally.

The foldable smartphone without 5G capability has been released in 21 countries, including the United States, Germany, France and Korea.
