Lineage 2M game draws over 7 million pre-orders
NCSoft’s Lineage 2M has drawn more than 7 million pre-orders, setting a record in the local game market, the company announced Friday.The highly-anticipated mobile game, which will be officially introduced later this year, became the most pre-ordered game in Korea, just 57 days after pre-orders began on Sept. 9. The former record holder was Lineage M, also from NCSoft, which attracted 5.5 million pre-orders in 68 days.
Linege 2M is a multiplayer online role-playing game.
In celebrating the milestone, NCSoft said it will select 77 people who posted congratulatory remarks on social media and may send them prizes such as a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphone or a Google Play gift card worth 10,000 won ($8.57).
