Megabox to open up mega theaterMegabox is planning to launch a new branch in Seongsu-dong this month, according to the theater chain on Friday.
Located at a two-minute walking distance from Seoul Forest station, on the Bundang Line, the building will consist of five underground basement floors and will be eight stories high.
“With the opening of this branch, the company is taking its first steps toward the generation of “Life Theater 2.0,” Megabox said in a statement.
“Life Theater 2.0” is the company’s slogan with the ultimate goal of becoming a lifestyle hub for audiences to enjoy various forms of creative content, as well as watching films.
Seven theaters will be situated across the second to fifth floors and the seventh and eight floors. Special theaters, such as “MX Theater” and “The Boutique,” which provide high-quality sound systems and premium services will also be built to fit the needs of customers.
The theater chain is expected to open 10 more branches next year situated near big cities.
