CGV’s 4DX hits the Netherlands

CGV has opened up its 700th 4DX theater in Utrecht in the Netherlands, according to the theater chain on Wednesday.

Pathe cinemas, in which the special theater is located, is one of the largest European multiplex theaters that has formed a partnership with CJ 4DPlex since 2017. The first film to be screened in the theater was “Frozen 2.”

After CGV promoted 4DX screens in Korea in 2009, the company was reported to have launched over 500 screens overseas last year. The chain currently retains over 80,000 seats in 65 countries.
