WJSN’s Exy takes a break to recover

Girl group WJSN’s leader and main rapper Exy will be taking a break from the group for health reasons.

“Exy visited the hospital recently due to feverish symptoms and was diagnosed with type A influenza and recommended to take plenty of rest,” her management agency Starship Entertainment said in a statement uploaded onto WJSN’s official fan cafe on Thursday.

“Exy will temporarily not participate in any scheduled events and try her best to recover. We’re sorry for causing concern to fans.”

WJSN debuted as a 13-member act in 2016 as a collaboration project between Starship Entertainment of Korea and Yuehua Entertainment of China.

The group, also known as Cosmic Girls, released the EP “As You Wish,” last Tuesday.
