Plannery, the operator of HeyJoyce service for working women, secured 2 billion won ($1.8 million) in investment early December.

UTC Investment, IGIS Asset Management, Yellow Dog and co-working company Fastfive took part in the pre-A round investment.

Since it was founded in 2018, Plannery has secured a total of 2.7 billion won.

HeyJoyce is a membership community that offers online and offline services for women who wish to further develop their careers. The service offers communication opportunities for working women and offers information with regards to careers, like a counseling service for launching a business.

It currently has 400 members, which includes attorneys, reporters and writers.

HeyJoyce is the first company specifically for working women in Korea, said Plannery CEO Lee Na-ree in a statement. “We’ll respect the women as working people instead of defining them as someone’s mother, wife or daughter, and develop the service to fulfill their desires and vales.”
