Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun signed an exclusive contract with a newbie entertainment agency Gold Medalist Entertainment, the agency announced on Wednesday.

Key East Entertainment, Kim’s former agency, released an official statement saying that Kim’s contract with the agency ended on Tuesday.

“Kim’s exclusive contract with our company over the last 10 years ended today,” the agency said. “However, we will continue to cheer on Kim’s superb acting in dramas and films.”

Gold Medalist Entertainment was established by the half-brother of Kim, Lee Jae-hyun, who is the director of the noir film “Real.” The agency has also recruited actors Seo Ye-ji and Kim Sae-ron.

Kim rose to popularity through series of hit drama series, including “Dream High” (2011), “Moon Embracing the Sun” (2012) and “My Love From the Star” (2013).

He recently made a cameo appearance in the tvN drama series “Hotel del Luna.”
