The main fire of the wildfire in Daegu that broke out Monday was put out on Tuesday, nearly 23 hours after the initial flames were reported.
A wildfire on Mount Hamji in Daegu prompted a national emergency response, involving 19 helicopters and 165 personnel, with more than 1,200 residents evacuated and no reported casualties.
