A delivery worker wears a helmet while riding an electric scooter in Seoul on Monday. According to an amendment to the Road Traffic Act, electric scooter riders who don't wear a helmet will be subject to a fine of 20,000 won ($18).
Unlicensed e-scooter riders are subject to a 100,000 won fine from Thursday. Those caught riding without helmets face a 20,000 won fine. A 40,000-won fine is imposed if two or more people are seen riding an e-scooter.
Two people on a scooter. Segway hotdogging. Drunk biking. From next month, all this and more will be verboten.
