With the collapse of global air travel, ticket holders are demanding refunds. Many are out of luck and out of money, as some airlines are bankrupt and others are stalling for time.
The government is pre-purchasing plane tickets from local airlines. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced Sunday that it will spend 1.55 billion won ($1.27 million) to make early purchases of tickets from local airlines.
