Seoul’s marriage and birthrates have risen for 12 consecutive months, with the city recording its highest number of monthly births in three years — signaling a rebound in key demographic indicators.
According to Statistics Korea, in February 21,461 births were recorded. This is a record low since current statistics were first compiled in 1981.
