Foreign Investment Shows Decrease
Direct foreign investment in August declined 67% compared to the previous month, and it also marked the first decline this year. The Ministry of Finance and Economy on September 9 announced that the amount of foreigners' direct investment reached 407 million dollars which is still up 128.7% compared to the same period last year.The amount of foreign investment in July was 1.2 billion dollars and the investment for eight months this year was over 4 billion dollars, 18.7% down from that of last year.
