Dong Ah Construction Starts 3rd Waterway Construction in Libya
Dong Ah Construction Co will start the third stage of construction on Libya's 'Big Waterways' on September 20, completely removing the concern whether it can handle the construction. Sources in the construction industry are making the assessment that Dong Ah has paved the way for reviving its business by ensuring work for the next 5~6 years generated by that projectDong Ah is scheduled to construct initially a 240km long waterway by 2001 and additionally to apply for the contract to build a 1,100 km long waterway. Libya, at first, had planned to hold a competitive bid for the third stage of construction and canceled these plans abruptly in July. After that, the country signed a letter of intent with Dong Ah awarding it the construction job.
