Lee Hoi Sung under Investigation

On October 21, Seoul district prosecutor's office investigated Lee Hoi Sung, the younger brother of Lee Hoi Chang, leader of the opposition Grand National Party regarding his alleged involvement in the 'Panmunjum Shooting Plot'. Lee was interrogated about the allegation that he instigated the attempted shooting plot last December, when he gave the co-accused Han Sung Ki five million won, and whether he discussed with Han to conceal this plan.
Lee denied his involvement by saying, 'I met Mr. Han several times before the presidential election last December but did not hear about the shooting plot.' The prosecutor's office summoned Jang Jin Ho, the chief of Jinro Group again and questioned why he offered 70 million won to Han. The prosecutor's office plans to announce the results of its investigation on October 26.
