TAA Defenseless Against 2000 Millenium Bug
The Tax Administration Agency(TAA) is not ready for the 2000 millenium bug, according to material submitted to the National Audit session at a regular National Assembly meeting on October 24.As of this August, the preporatory stage for the TAA's Tax Integrated System(TIS) for a new thousand years has only progressed with 25.4% of its system.
This is even lower than that of banks(88.8%), security companies(81.3%), and insurance companies(68.6%).
Han Young Ae, a congresswoman from the ruling National Congress for New Politics(NCNP) asserted, 'Tax computerization is one of the most important matters among all government related sources and the TAA should solve this urgent issue as early as possible.'
