Gov"t to Approve Casino Business by Foreigners
The government plans to approve casino businesses by foreigners. To do so, however, the government will have to revise the law on tourism promotion.Foreigners who receive a license to operate casino will have to invest more than 100 million dollars within two years of licensing.
The government must enact changes in the laws governing tourism to expand casino operations and gambling sites, which are now only allowed for designated first class tourism hotels.
Meanwhile, the government will attempt to issue lotteries just for foreign tourists so as to mobilize money for improving tourism facilities.
