GNP"s Internal Friction Increasing

Some lawmakers, mainly from North Kyungsang province including Kim Yoon Hwan, inside the Grand National Party, refused to accept their positions inside the party bestowed by Lee Hoi Chang, the president of the GNP on November 30.
All 22 lawmakers who are from North Kyungsang Province held a lunch meeting and requested that President Lee make an effort to recover a more amicable relationship with the leader of the group, Kim, and confirm the fact that the 22 lawmakers have contributed a great deal to the development of the GNP.
Participants at the meeting decided not to accept their positions inside the party until President Lee responds to their requests.
Some analysts feel that the actions of the lawmakers could lead or intend to lead to a split in the party and possibly a secession.
