Semicon Deal Will Miss Deadline
A conclusion in the semiconductor 'Big Deal' between Hyundai and LG will not be reached before the agreed upon deadline in spite of the business sector's arbitration.According to the Federation of Korean Industries on December 30, the two sides did not officially meet with each other but rather just reconfirmed their own standpoints.
A source from LG commented, 'A compensatory deal of unequal proportions is out of the question. We will only consider a half and half ownership deal with Hyundai.'
Reportedly, Hyundai might accept a 6 to 4 ratio rather than a 7 to 3 one if LG concedes.
