Used Materials and Machinery Selling Well
Used industrial materials which have long sat idle in warehouses due to the economic recession, are now selling well as the business cycle is picking up for the better. The Internet Information Center which was founded last year has received 5,545 registered items posted for sale and 1,118 units, or about 20 percent, have been sold.
This is due to the increased industrial rate of operation now at over 70 percent capacity and the government's 5 percent tax exemption on all purchases of used industrial equipment and products.
Metallergical machines such as lathes and punching presses were the most popular with 473 sales followed by precision instruments and plastic processing machines including extruders and molds.
A source from the Internet Information Center said, 'Until the middle of last year, there were almost no calls from companies to buy these machines, but right now I am busy receiving orders even from Southeast Asian countries.'
The government will start a database next month to track used materials and idle machinery.
