National Tax Administration to Monitor 6,900 Shops for More Effective Taxing

The National Tax Administration (NTA) decided to monitor 6,900 businesses from a cross section of the marketplace to assess taxes more effectively.
The government will assess taxes for other businesses based on comparable establishments among the 6,900.
The measure is an attempt to stem tax evasion by small businesses and shops.
The NTA announced on January 13 that it decided on the 10 kinds of shops and businesses to be monitored. A total of 1,076 entertainment shops including video rooms, arcades and restaurants will be scrutinized.
