SERI Releases Report on M&A Trend
The Samsung Economic Research Institute(SERI) released its report titled 'The M&A (Merger and Acquisition) Trend' on February 18.The report points out that because M&As by world-wide companies have a fundamental effect on the competitive ways of companies, M&As by domestic companies will have to be tried strategically.
The report asserted that Korea needs to develop niche markets in order to respond to changes in world-wide industries.
In addition, it warned that international companies that already have world-wide competitiveness will force Korean companies to be subordinate to their vast networks.
