A Lawyer"s Fruitless Search For Hwang Jang Yop"s Location

Where does Hwang Jang Yop Live?
Ahn Sang Yoon is a South Korean attorney with on an unusual quest. Mr. Ahn is searching for the residence of the highest-ranking North Korean official to defect to the South. Former NK Workers' Party Secretary for International Affairs Hwang Jang Yop, who virtually wrote North Korea's 'Juche' or self-reliance ideology, defected to South Korea in 1997 but his whereabouts are one of the most closely guarded state secrets.
Ahn was retained by Song Du Yul, a South Korean professor at Muenster University in Germany, who filed a lawsuit against Mr. Hwang. In his lawsuit Professor Song is filing for damages incurred from Hwang's allegations that Song was an agent for the North Korean regime.
But before the lawsuit can proceed, Mr. Hwang must be served with papers notifying him of the lawsuit. Ahn has little hope of finding Mr. Hwang's location.
The National Intelligence Service(former KCIA) told Song's attorney that they could not offer any information on Hwang's whereabouts to protect Mr. Hwang from the danger of North Korean reprisals over his defection.
Ahn stated, 'I am going to file a motion through the Administratve Court to ascertain Mr. Hwang's residence.'
