BOAI Wants Authority to Examine Deposit Accounts
Han Seung Heon, president of the Board of Audit and Inspection(BOAI), announced in a March 8 interview, 'The BOAI will try to revise the law so as to allow the BOAI authority to investigate deposit accounts of financial institutions.'He also commented in the press interview that it is necessary to extend the retirement age for the president of the BOAI from the current 65 years old to 70. But he added that he will resign his position, regardless, this coming September when he turns 65 years old according to the current law.
