Suwon Plans to Build Theme Park

Miniatures of world-famous castles will be constructed in Suwon, Kyonggi Province by 2002, city officials said on April 12.
According to sources, Suwon is planning on building a 40 billion-won (32 million-dollar) theme park where 50 miniature castles representing famous ones from around the world, including the Great Wall of China, will be exhibited.
Along with the miniature castles, a variety of facilities, including an event hall and an observation tower, will be constructed at the park.
The park's construction is scheduled to commence next March and city officials expect many foreign and local tourists to visit the park.
Suwon, the capital city of Kyonggi Province, is one of the host cities for the 2002 World Cup.
