The List of Shin"s Victims Attracting Attention from the Nation

The list of those who have been robbed by the notorious fugitive Shin Chang-won during the two and a half years he was at large has been attracting a great deal of attention across the nation, as he was finally arrested by the police.
Shin, who escaped from detention over two years ago, is believed to have committed 88 separate robberies before he was captured on Friday. His crime spree is estimated to have netted him 540 million won.
In particular, because he said he had recently extorted 290 billion won from a top-ranking official after holding his family hostage, his exploits could create confusion in society if they are publicized.
The list of those relieved of their possessions and money include powerful and influential figures in Korea, especially famous politicans and businessmen, because they presumably have larges amount of cash in their houses which they do not want to make public.
The fact that many of his numerous robberies were not reported to the police probably bolster this assumption.
