Young Blood Donors Rush for Film Discount Coupons

The Republic of Korea National Red Cross has been inducing young people to donate blood with a new scheme concerning movie discount coupons.
The Korean Red Cross, which has implemented blood donation activities since 1981, recruits young donors by offering discount coupons which reduce the entrance fee of 6,000 won to 2,000 won in the cinema area of Yoksam-dong, Seoul.
The number of donors in this area doubles that of other areas where the Korean Red Cross works.
The charity organization's new strategy is due to the sharp decrease in donations by soldiers, who were the main blood donors, after the recent spread of malaria around military camps.
