Moody's Officials to Visit Seoul

Officials from an international bond rater, Moody's Investors Service, will visit Korea beginning May 21 for a two-day survey of the health of the Korean economy.

The visit does not necessarily mean that ratings will change, though. "Moody's isn't expected to change Korea's credit ratings soon, because it is waiting for the results of several unresolved problems, like the situation at Hyundai," a Finance Ministry official said.

The bond rater is expected to call on the Finance Ministry, the Bank of Korea, and the Financial Supervisory Service.
