D.C. Visit Lined Up By Foreign Minister
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Han Seung-soo will meet U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell in Washington Thursday.A ministry official reported Friday that Mr. Powell had invited Mr. Han to visit Washington next week to hold deliberations on how to execute American policies on North Korea, as they have been discussed by the National Security Committee and reported to President George W. Bush. The official added that the United States would report on the time frame and level of its future contacts with North Korea after the Korea-U.S. ministerial meeting.
Mr. Han will also talk with the U.S. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz.
