Raytheon to supply fighter jet missiles
The Ministry of Defense said Tuesday that Raytheon, a U.S. arms company, will supply missiles for the F-15K fighters the ministry will acquire from Boeing.The missiles will include the AIM-120C, a medium-range air-to-air missile, and the AIM-9X, known as the Sidewinder.
The U.S. Defense Department has reached an agreement with the Korean government to allow Raytheon to make the sale under U.S. Foreign Military Sales procedures.
Additionally the Defense Ministry said the F-15K manufacturer, Boeing, recently signed a contract with the government to supply additional aviation equipment for the fighter jets. The additional gear includes navigation systems and a global position system.
