Korean medical aid is stolen in Baghdad

Three armed Iraqis robbed a truck carrying Korean-donated medical supplies intended for Iraqi war victims in Baghdad.
A Jordanian driver picked up the medical supplies in the Baghdad cargo bus terminal Saturday, and was carrying them to a hotel where Korean medical volunteers sent by the Gyeonggi provincial government were staying.
Three Iraqi men asked for a lift, a government official said, then threatened the driver with guns and fled with the truck and the supplies. No one but the driver was present, and no casualties were reported, the official said.
Iraqi police and the U.S. Army investigated, but failed to recover the supplies.
Sixty Korean medical volunteers were sent in April to aid Global Care, an international medical service organization, to combat epidemics in Iraqi cities.
