Oct. 9 to 13: The Park Hyatt Seoul has invited two-star Michelin Chef Stephane Carrade to prepare French dishes for its Cornerstone restaurant. The event consists of a wine dinner with Lou Dumont, a gala dinner for 250,000 won ($273), and a weekend brunch with a French touch at 60,000 won to 70,000 won.
Foie gras poached in a beef consomme, roasted duck breast with orange oil and coriander seeds and orange creme brulee with mango jelly and a pineapple sherbet will be presented. The lunch menu with two or three courses is 42,000 to 52,000 won . The dinner menu with three or six courses is 80,000 won to 120,000 won.

To Nov. 30: Manyo, the Japanese restaurant at the Imperial Palace, presents a festival of natural pine mushroom dishes, lobster in the pot, steamed crab and grilled ear shell with butter. Pine mushrooms will be presented in various styles, such as broiled with salt, steamed with sea food, cooked in a casserole with other vegetables, broiled with rice and fried. Fresh Maine Lobster in the pot is 65,000 won, steamed crab is 150,000 won, broiled ear shell with butter is 100,000 won.

Oct.19: Seasons, the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s French restaurant, offers wine dinner. Featured wines include Penfolds Grange and Tattinger champagnes. The wines will be accompanied by a seven-course dinner. A champagne reception is scheduled for 7 p.m. It is priced at 550,000 won, including the champagne reception and all wine pairings.

A selection of Czech food including goulash and chicken and duck dishes will be presented in an evening buffet. Czech beer will be offered on Wednesday. This festival also includes prizes.
