The “Romantic proposal event” at Grand Hyatt Seoul

Tuesday: “A German wine-tasting dinner.” A five-course menu will be offered by Renaissance Seoul’s culinary team, under the leadership of German Executive Chef Joerg Hontheim, who is also the President of the German Wine Growers association. This time the newly crowned German wine queen, Evelyn Schmidt, is visiting Korea to introduce German wines at Renaissance Seoul. The event will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Diamond Ballroom and the price is 75,000 won ($83), including tax and service charge.

Ongoing: The Paris Grill at the Grand Hyatt features a “Romantic proposal event.” A linen-covered table overlooking the city skyline decorated with rose petals and candles and a bouquet of flowers will set the mood for the evening. After dinner the Paris Grill team will deliver any gift that a customer may wish to present to a loved one on a silver domed plate, along with dessert.
The proposal event is priced at 120,000 won. The price excludes food, beverage, tax and service charge.

On Nov. 26: VINE Wine Restaurant at Lotte Hotel Seoul holds a Borie-Manoux winemaker’s dinner. Borie-Manoux is one of the last family-owned and run independent negociant houses remaining in Bordeaux. This event spotlights four red wines and two white wines.
The wines will be served in the order of Chateau Baret Pessac-Leognan 2005, Chateau Bergat Grand Cru St-Emilion 2004, Chateau Lynch-Moussas Grand Cru Pauillac 2003, Chateau Batailley Grand Cru Pauillac 2003, Chateau Trotte Vieille Premier Grand Cru St-Emilion 2001 and Sauternes Borie-Manoux.
The price is 200,000 won and advanced reservations are required.
