Asiana awarded for best in-flight service


Asiana Airlines, Korea’s second-largest airline operator, reported yesterday that the company was awarded best in-flight service accolades by two leading international travel magazines.
Global Traveler, a U.S.-based luxury travel magazine, awarded the company the “Best Onboard and Flight Attendants” title for the fourth consecutive year.
Another U.S. travel magazine, Business Traveler, said the airline operator has the “Best Flight Attendants in the World” and “Best In-flight Services in the World.”
The titles were awarded on subscriber votes and online survey results.
“We were able to receive these recognitions due to our creative approach in service including in-flight beauty and chef services [the airline provides skin care and makeup sessions and meals cooked by a professional chef], as well as upgrading our facilities to better suit travelers’ needs,” said Shin Jeong-hwan, the manager of cabin services at Asiana Airlines.
