Elderly American stars visiting Seoul

All-female act Girls’ Generation will appear in “Better Late Than Never,” the American version of Korea’s travelogue reality series “Grandpas Over Flowers,” as guests.

The three stars of the show, William Shatner, Henry Winkler and George Foreman, will visit SM Town at COEX Artium in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, on Sunday to meet the girl group and experience Korean culture.

The three American stars arrived in Korea on Thursday and they are scheduled to begin their tour on Saturday, which will last for three days. They are expected to visit various sites, such as Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon, Gyeonggi.

Even though the specific air date of the Korea episode has not been released, when it is aired on NBC prime time, the advertising effect for Korea could amount to as much as 11 billion won ($9.2 million), according to the Korea Tourism Organization, which is sponsoring the episode.

“Better Late Than Never” is adapted from the hit South Korean show “Grandpa Over Flowers” and is slated to cover various other Asian cities, including Tokyo and Kyoto.
